RosieBug Baby App
Hi there!
My name is Rosie, but my mom and Dad call me RosieBug. I was born December 18th, and nine months later RosieBug Baby was born.
When I was six months old, the three of us took a long plane ride from Seattle back home to New York. I was getting pretty bored on the flight, so my folks handed me their iPad and I LOVED it (duh). They only wished they had some actual games for me to games for me to play that were appropriate for my tender age. It took us about three months to create the perfect games, and then we sang Happy Birthday to RosieBug Baby! The game works on both iPhone and iPad. It has three separate games included – Blowfish with bubbles, School of Fish that changes shapes, and the Whale that spouts water.
Speaking of singing, I forgot one important part of the story! My mom (Katie Tomlinson Diamond, founder and President of RosieBug Baby) happens to be a Broadway singer (The Pirate Queen, Jersey Boys, White Christmas), so she recorded all the songs that play during the games! She's been singing them to me since I was born, and now you get to hear them too. Although I love her recordings, she knows sometimes parents like to sing to their own kiddos (she's pretty smart like that), so she included karaoke versions of each song as well so other moms and dads can be the star when they want to. Oh, and she added lullaby versions of each song for bedtime. Pretty cool, huh?
We hope you enjoy all that RosieBug Baby has to offer!
Cheers, and happy playing (and chewing, and drooling, and sleeping...),
RosieBug
Down By The Riverside,
Songs for Children
Katie Tomlinson is a singer, actor, entrepreneur, wife and mother living in Manhattan. Originally from Seattle, she moved to New York in 2005 to further her career in musical theatre. Katie has appeared in the Broadway or Broadway national touring companies of Jersey Boys, The Pirate Queen, and White Christmas. She has also performed on the stages of numerous regional theatres
Katie’s love of music and children made recording this album a natural choice. She wanted to offer a collection of traditional songs with new interpretations. In order to introduce children to different genres of music, each of the “playtime” songs highlights a distinctive style and musical genre. The “dreamtime” songs are solo piano arrangements of the playtime songs, offering recognizable tones in lullaby settings. We hope you enjoy Down By the River
